Benefit's The Porefessional Primer Review

I have never been someone who uses primer but that has completely changed by coincidence. I had heard a lot of fantastic things about Benefit's primer called The Porefessional from friends and you tubers/bloggers but for whatever reason, I had never thought of actually purchasing or trying it. The other day I was buying this months ELLE magazine (really good issue by the way), which came with a lovely little (seriously, its tiny and adorable) freebie - a mini Porefessional. Talk about a happy surprise!

I tried it a couple of days after buying the magazine and I am completely hooked! It really does make a difference and I have no idea how I have been without this golden product - good thing my 20th birthday is coming up because this baby is going straight to the top of my wish list. I used it after applying my moisturiser - just a thin layer. I let it set in and then I applied my foundation and i loved the results! It made m felt my face look airbrushed and flawless - so much love for this product. My makeup lasted all day thanks to this gorgeous product. So if you are like me - a primer noob - I would highly recommend this product. You can never go wrong with Benefit. Never ever.

A short and sweet review on a truly wonderful product. See for yourself!

Much Love,

Willows Secret Kitchen Canterbury

Oh hello there - long time no blog! I am back now! Yay! My summer has officially begun, which means lots more time to blog and lots more to blog about! I wanted to start off with a short and sweet post about a little gem of a cafe in Canterbury. Now some of you may know of this place already but for those of you who haven't.. prepared to be enlightened!

I experienced the wonder that is Willows Secret Kitchen Canterbury (they are serious about the secret - it is located in a rather random area away from other shops and cafes. Click here for directions and information) for the first time today and I cannot recommend it enough! I tried their coffee as well as a breakfast baguette type thing (breakfast at 1 pm.. oh yes) - both of which were delicious! However, if i had to hype one of the two I would have to pick the coffee. It was heavenly. Seriously. Go get yourself a cup (you can buy take away as well) and thank me later. P.S. Notice the heart in my cappuccino.. Its fate.

There is a nice selection of food, mainly sandwiches (their bread is sooooooo damn good) as well as a few other options. So if you are ever in Canterbury and looking for a lovely little cafe that serves amazing coffee and yummy food.. Here you have it! As if that wasn't enough they also have glorious reading material such as the books above... Brilliance.

Treat yourself to a little something from this lovely cafe! I hope you are all doing wonderfully!

Much Love,

Caroline

What's In My Bag?

Hello all! It's time for another blog post and this time I give you the ever popular What's In My Bag post. This is probably one of the most popular Youtube videos and also happens to be one of my guilty pleasures - there is just something so fulfilling about watching people empty out all the crap in their bags.. Is that just me?

I have always wanted to do one myself so here we go! My current handbag is this lovely little cross body from Birgitte Herskind - it has two compartments and fits all my essentials perfectly! What I also really love about this bag is that it goes with pretty much anything and everything. On me the bag rests nicely on my hip :) So if you are on the look out for a fabulous cross body bag in Copenhagen (I believe there will be an online shop soon! Fear not!) then here you go! Let's look at the crap I carry around with me on a day to day basis, shall we?

It's not a whole lot of stuff, but these are my go to/essential everyday items - sorry to disappoint for those of you who were expecting loads of weird quirky stuff.. I'm boring like that (I will be uploading a  What's In My Carry On Bag however, as I am headed back to university soon).

First of are my sunglasses (which I surprisingly enough have used pretty much everyday since I have been back in Copenhagen - nice one, Denmark). They are the typical ray ban look a likes that everyone seems to wear - and with good reasons as they go with everything! Mine are from River Island but you can buy sunnies like these pretty much everywhere.

Next up are the smaller bits and bobs that hang out in my handbag. First we have my Maybelline Baby Lips lip balm (uh-mazing) in Hydrate, which is the basic, non-pigmented one out of the selection. I cannot recommend this product enough! Never before have my lips been so soft and hydrated - I will be purchasing some of the other Baby Lips lip balms once I get back to the UK to see what the pigmented ones are like. Next we have a hand sanitizer - simple.. It keeps your hands clean. I really like this one because it has aloe vera in it so my hands don't get dried out like some other sanitizer gels do. Finally we have gum.. Minty fresh breathe is key, need I say more?

I have always been one of those people who misplaces my keys ridiculously easily and all the time... So I finally decided to get a key ring. For the longest time I have seen people with scrabble rings and necklaces and I always wanted one with a C on it. I just so happened to find this C scrabble key ring in a store on my university campus (along with some scrabble fridge magnets - worth every penny). If you are interested in treating yourself to one, you can find your desired letter here. Now onto the classic iPhone headphones - I love this design! I love having headphones where you can use them to speak on the phone - it makes me feel so official! It's the simple pleasures in life ;)

For some reason my passport cover is photographing a tad bit darker than it actually is - imagine it as more of a light pink leather! I don't always carry my passport with me but I thought I would include it as it already was in my bag. That.. and also because I love my passport cover! I bought it in Topshop on Oxford street almost a year ago - it is by a brand called It's Not Me It's You, London. It is such a cute brand with lots of cute accessories like bags, purses and covers with quirky slogans on them - so if that sounds like your cup of tea, check them out! Keeping on the topic of covers, next up is my student ID/buss pass cover. Normally, I would be carrying these two around in a boring, plastic cover provided by the university bus company but that had became pretty worn.. So it was time to invest in a new one (also I was in duty free and bored.. so..) and I found this cute Jack Wills cover!

Finally we have the most essential item of all - my wallet! I seem to have a certain type when it comes to my choice in wallets - black with gold hardware.. But hey, it looks good! My wallet is from River Island and I lurve it!

So thats pretty much all for now folks! I realised that I forgot to include my phone in all of this because I was taking these pictures on it - obviously I take my phone with me everywhere. I am one of those people who feels naked without my phone.. sad but true.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Keep a look out for my What's In My Carry On Bag post if that is your cup of tea!

Much Love,

Caroline

April Favourites: Beauty

Hello all! Long time no blog! I apologise for the slight pause on this blog - blame the easter holiday. I have just been focusing on university assignments (yay...) and got caught up in just chilling at home - but I have returned! It is that time, time for the April favourites wave to hit! If you are a Youtube dork like myself, you know exactly what I am referring to. In true lazy Sunday fashion, I have spent all morning in bed just watching April favourites videos and it really got me in the blogging mood. So naturally, I am doing my April favourites too! I am gonna be dividing them into separate posts - beauty favourites (this post - obviously) and fashion/random favourites. Let's begin!

Bioderma isn't exactly a new addition in the world of beauty products but it is in Denmark - yes, Bioderma has finally arrived to our little nation! Hallelujah! Although the bottles are tiny, it is still available. You can buy yourself a bottle in pretty much any pharmacy - I don't know if this applies to DK as a whole, but I know pharmacies in and near Copenhagen sell the heavenly product. For those of you who don't know what Bioderma is, it is basically an amazing makeup remover. I tend to use it after I have taken all my makeup off, as it works wonders in completely cleansing your skin. You just put some onto a cotton pad and then wipe it all over your face. It is a calm product that you can use for both your face and eyes without there being any irritation - it is a babe. I cannot recommend this product enough - it can be bought online for those of you who are interested :)

For my next beauty favourite I have a set of nail polishes that I have been loving. I unfortunately have the horrible habit of biting my nails and I have recently decided to try my best to stop. So far it is going very well and my nails are slowly growing, however, I wanted to try some of the many growth serums and nail polishes I have heard of to see if they would help the process. I had heard wonderful things about the Essie Help Me Grow Base Coat so I wanted to give it a try and so far I am happy with the results! In addition to this I bought two L'Oreal nail polishes to wear so that I wouldnt be tempted to go back to my bad habit. For me, having nicely painted nails is one of the only things that makes me not want to bite - normally I do it out of pure boredom but if I have nicely painted nails I don't. I chose the colours Golden Coquillage (854) and Rose Paradis (201) because they are lovely and simple summery colours but also because they won't attract attention to my nails whilst I am growing them out. What I truly love about these nail polishes is the texture of it - it is almost like having gel nails with just two easy coats! So these three have become my new nail polish combination - just a base coat of the Essie and then two coats of which ever nail polish I choose and boom, there you have it :)

I recently got my hair cut and one thing I love about my hair dresser is the products she uses! She always has something new and interesting that I end up falling completely in love with and this time it is this funky little thing called 4 Crush Thickening Snow (Purple Rose). I cannot express enough how strangely wonderful this product is - it is a powder product that you pump into the roots of your hair for volume.. But its texture completely blew my mind! It almost makes your roots feel a little bit like you have been using hair spray on them when really it is only a powder. You only need a few pumps and your hair has the most amazing volume! I will be writing a post demonstrating this product and talking a little more about it soon :)

Finally I have this moisturiser that is a comeback act in my makeup bag. This Vichy Aqualia Thermal moisturiser is one of my holy grail products - I will try other products like it but I always end up coming back to this one. It has this lovely scent to it and gives your face this fresh and soft feeling with just a tiny little amount. I have combination skin but it has recently been acting up with dry patches and this product has been a god send. It is incredibly hydrating and is ideal for people with sensitive skin, so if that applies to you I would highly recommend this!

I hope you guys have all had a wonderful Easter and that you are well! Keep your eyes peeled for the next April favourites post all about the random goodies and fashion gems!

Much Love,

Caroline
